Dear Santa's Knights, I am writing this letter on behalf of a dear friend who has three grandchildren, all of whom are little boys. I chose "Coopersjoy" as that has been a long-standing name for herself. Her oldest daughter is a teacher with two boys ages 4 and 1. Both boys were born very premature due to circumstances beyond their control. The oldest being born at 23 weeks. For the longest, the family was told to be prepared for the worst and that if he survived, he would not meet milestones. He was non-verbal, but with the help of his family and his special parents, he has recently begun to say words. The one-year-old was kept in the womb for several weeks by surgical procedures performed on the mom's cervix to allow for additional development. Both boys were diagnosed with Austism. Recently, another daughter learned of her pregancy being high risk also. Joy cares for both boys during working hours and her husband is in the miilitary. Joy also suffers with health issues and Joy's father was diagnosed with stage iv pancreatic cancer. This family means the world to so many people and to watch the struggles they have endured has been not only gut wrenching but also heart warming to see the close bond they each have. Joy lost a daughter at two weeks old to heart surgery. To see her oldest daughter going through the battles with her boys, brought back so many painful memories for her, but that did not deter her from being the brave "JoJo" and spent every day in the NICU for 6 plus months by her grandson and daughter's side. This family has not asked for help with gifts or donations; however, I know that if there is a family that deserves a blessing, it is this one. Joy is the type of woman who will give her last cent to someone in need. She has a hard time telling others no, because of a pure heart. She is a God send to many, including myself. She has given me the strength and courage to build me and shape my mental health, when I thought I was alone. If you find it in your heart to donate, donate to this family. The boys are 4, 1 (he turns 2 in January) and a new born due January 11. This year I would really like to help this deserving family provide learning gifts among other gifts for these boys. Thank you kindly with the deepest sincereity for thinking of this family. https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/137849SB6DCZG?ref_=wl_share(https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/137849SB6DCZG?ref_=wl_share) Sincerely, LC
