In Letters with Amazon Wishlists
Last Christmas our family (especially the children) had an extremely rough holiday, our Yiayia spent her last Christmas in the hospital with COVID. Our two children were not able to see or visit her due to COVID restrictions and hospitals not allowing children. After a long hard battle of COVID pneumonia, and being put on a ventilator on 1/1, our Yiayia lost her battle to COVID, and she passed away 1/11/2022. Our two children took this loss the hardest, as for we use to live with our Yiayia prior to 2020, and she was involved in both kid's lives on a daily basis. I myself, am having a hard time as a parent and granddaughter to have much of any Christmas spirit this year. I also have been out of work for over a year due to long haulers COVID, and money is very tight. I have allowed my two children to put together a "Santa Amazon wish list" and will attach to our letter. I have a daughter who is 6 years old, her favorite colors are pink, purple, or anything with sparkles. She loves wearing dresses and skirts and playing with Barbie's. This year she is asking that Santa bring her more dresses, American doll with accessories, learning games, and winter boots. I also have a 3-year-old boy who loves Baseball, or any other sport, cars, and tools. He is asking Santa for Cars & racetracks, spider man action figures, clothes, and a twin size bed. This is our first year without our Yiayia at all, and in previous years, she liked taking on the role of being "Santa" and hosting Christmas dinner every year; our family is just looking for anyone looking to help make our families Christmas a little more special with donating a few gifts for our kiddos to have and open under the tree on Christmas morning. I also will be adding a few items on our amazon wish list for my mom; not only did she lose her mom this year but she lost her father (our grandpa) in 2020 and the loss of her sister in 2018. I do not have alot of money to buy my kids presents or my mom, whom all deserve to have a little happiness this Christmas Thank you and I pray everyone has a Christmas Miracle this Christmas Sophia
