This year we were supposed to be adding another baby to the family, however I had an ectopic pregnancy and we lost our baby. Due to the ectopic pregnancy I had to have chemo and many doctor appointments. This extra expense made things difficult, but not impossible. Our washing machine went out which led to needing to purchase a new one. In the middle of October our furnace went out and then we had a huge leak in the pipes under the kitchen sink (forcing us to replace all the piping). Thankfully we were able to get all of that fixed, but it left us struggling to be able to afford to get our son anything for his Birthday (in November) or Christmas. I know there are many other families in need and who are in more dire situations. I just hope to get our son something special, like a new toy or clothes.
