I'm writing due to a family I met in Winston County. The grandmother is Carolyn Creel a sweet kind older lady and she has a 15 year daughter and has now taken on her 3 grandchildren (3 boys), 6, 7 and 9. Carolyn was injured in 2021 in a car accident and ended up losing her job in Feb 2021, she's been taking care of herself and daughter whom is 15, with help of her other 2 children helping her up until August when she was called by CPS and took her grandsons she was not letting them go to foster care. I've helped when I could donating food and clothing and her cleaning my cabin sometimes to make money. I do not want to disclose exactly why the children where removed from the parents but I'm sure you all can imagine had to be a horrific situation for this to happen, currently she goes to court in January to get legal custody of the boys. Anything someone donates to this family for Christmas gifts for kids or food for xmas would be appreciated. Carolyn recently had a pitbull mix attacked her 15 yr olds dachshund in there front yard 11/18/2022 which they took her to vet were they had to stitch the dog back together with tubes hanging out her 15 yrs dog was her baby whom comforted her and Carolyn being a mom did what she could for her, the clinic cut her medical expenses 75% off due to her situation yet the bill was still over 1k and had to borrow money from family and friends. It seems this family cannot get a break. She works when she can, and has to take the boys to therapy appoints at CPS 2 times a week, and barely has enough money for gas at times. She drives a 2003 ford sport track which needs work but still drives to get her to point A to B. This family so needs a blessing this Christmas. I'm doing what I can if anyone else can help that would be such a blessing.
