Hello, I am a single mother of 2 living in Florida City, FL. The last year was rough to say it nicely, not as much for me with trying to pay the bills and keep food on the table, let a lone a roof here. With my daughter, it was so many words to describe having to watch her world be turned upside down with a diagnosis of a rare brain cancer. 11 years old, immediatley rushed for surgery and then within 3 days on chemo and 4 different teams of doctors to support her body in different areas needed now. My 9 year old watching and with his own ABA and OT that I wasnt able to send him to, struggling emotionaly because the attention needed to be with her. Loss of working all but possibly one day a week if the ER wasnt needed made for a lot of bills and debt to pile up.

Needless to say, she hasnt had to have treatment for 3 months now, just monthly and daily medications needed. And scans every 3 months for the next two years. This school year they both were able to attend and though I ask for simple gifts to take placement under a fake tree. It would bring them so much joy, and bring me so much to watch them open gifts they have waited for for so long.
